Donating shares of stock to Advokids is a great way to help us have an immediate impact on the lives of children and youth in foster care. The total value of your gift is tax-deductible as of the date it arrives, as long as it has been held for at least one year. A benefit to donating stock is that there is no obligation to pay any capital gains tax on the appreciated value.
