Your Will, Bequests or Trusts

If you are looking to include the Advokids in your will, you are able to do so by adding one sentence in your will to complete your gift:

“I hereby give to Advokids, a not-for-profit organization (Federal Tax ID # 94-3157218) with offices at 5643 Paradise Drive, Suite 12B, Corte Madera, CA 94925, the sum of $_______; or _______% of the residue of my estate.”

The Gift of Life Insurance

Name Advokids as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy

Update your beneficiary designation form with the policy holder and designate Advokids as the primary beneficiary for a percentage or specific amount. You can also make Advokids the contingent beneficiary so that our organization will receive the balance of your policy only if your primary beneficiary does not survive you.

Make an outright gift of an existing policy

You can name Advokids as owner and beneficiary of an existing policy as well as take out a new policy and irrevocably name Advokids as owner and beneficiary of the insurance contract.

Designate Advokids as a Beneficiary

You might also consider naming Advokids as a beneficiary in your IRA or retirement plan, or bank and investment accounts. Depending on the plan, Advokids can be named as a full, partial, or contingent beneficiary.  To do so, we suggest that you:

  1. Contact your retirement plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution for a change-of-beneficiary form.
  2. Decide what percentage you would like us to receive and name us, along with the percentage you chose, on the beneficiary form.
  3. Return the completed form to your plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution.

If you have questions or would like to discuss benefits of IRA charitable distributions please contact us or your tax advisor. Advokids Federal Tax ID # 94-3157218. Before finalizing your charitable plans we encourage you to seek the counsel of your legal or financial advisor.
