How COVID-19 Is Affecting the Child Welfare System
As we navigate through the pandemic landscape of COVID-19, Advokids' Free Telephone Hotline services will remain operational.
With school closures and additional family and societal stressors at this time, children are especially vulnerable. We are proud that we have the technical tools we need in place to continue to provide Hotline services while allowing our staff to work remotely.
If you need information or support from Advokids’ Hotline, at this time we prefer that you email us at advocate@adevine.io and a staff member will respond. If you do not have internet access, you can call 877.ADV4KID and leave a message. Although our staff will be available to callers, with many juvenile courts having closed and more closures anticipated, filing court forms and petitioning for court hearings may not be effective at this time.
If at any time, you feel that a child is at risk of immediate harm, call the police, the sheriff, or your local county Child Protective Services Hotline.
